Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice president and State organisational in-charge Vinay Sahasrabuddhe said that social changes could not be expected only with State patronage.

Sahasrabuddhe was talking to the mediapersons in Sagar on Tuesday where he further said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has defined the social concerns through special missions and has taken the initiative to convert social concerns into public movement.”

Sahasrabuddhe said that the BJP workers would accept the ‘Beti Bachao – beti padhao,’ Namami Gange karyakram,’ and ‘Swachch Abhiyan’ as challenge and would take them to the masses to provide relief to them.

He said that the society is suffering over the centuries due to the misconceptions and ideas about the girl child birth. Misbalance has developed in the population. We need to develop the psyche of people’s movement in the northern region of Madhya Pradesh to achieve the target of ‘Beti Bachao – beti padhao.’ Because the gender ratio in high in Bhind, Morena, Shivpuri and Gwalior and the need of the time is to initiate novel revolution for saving girl child in this region, he added.

He said that the ‘Beti Bachao – beti padhao,’ drive has to be taken to the masses. The Swachch drive of prime minister has provided a new revolutionary dimension towards cleanliness in the country.

The old saying that God lives only where there is cleanliness is near to truth, he added.

He said that the Namami Gange program gives the inspiration to us to give new life to the country. Through this program we have to make rivers, lakes and ponds pollution free. Ganga is the life of nation and to clear in stipulated time limit is our commitment. In fact this commitment is also for that places where Ganga does not exists, there we need to understand this symbol and would have to work for making pollution free environment, he added.
