Staff Reporter

SIMI terrorists lodged in the high security Central Jail of Bhopal are on hunger strike for the last four days for their demands, after which the jail administration has intensified the monitoring of everyone, because all these terrorists have been kept in the Anda cell of the jail.

The jail administration has also informed senior officials about the entire matter.

The court has sentenced all the four terrorists who were on hunger strike since September 14 to life imprisonment. The four are Abu Faisal, Kamruddin, Shivli and Kamran. At present everyone has been kept in the  Anda  cell under high security. Because there are serious allegations against them like treason, murder, robbery.

These terrorists are adamant on fulfilling their demands of expressing their views through writing in newspapers, working in libraries, collective namaz, watch and meeting. But the jail management has refused to fulfill their demands citing security. Due to the ongoing strike for four days, the jail department is continuously conducting health check-ups of the terrorists. Whereas the security of the jail has also been increased.

In the year 2016, 8 SIMI terrorists had escaped from Bhopal Central Jail and were killed by the police in an encounter. Even during that time, the terrorists had collected material for jail break only by going on strike. In such a situation, this time also the jail administration has intensified surveillance in view of the strike.
