To further streamline Ujjain Simhastha Mela area's arrangements, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat chaired a video conferencing meeting of all zonal and sector officers. Kiyawat gave directives about Panchkroshi Yatra and Ashth Tirth Yatra. He learnt ground reality of drinking water arrangements and water kiosks in mela area.
Zonal officers informed there were 681 traditional and RO water kiosks from where devotees were getting adequate drinking water. Directives have been given to PHE executive officers to hike sorties of water tankers as per route chart to supply drinking water in Chamunda zone.
Zonal officers for parking arrangements in mela area have been directed to appoint separate nodal officers for all parking places including satellite towns. The nodal officers will ensure arrangements for drinking water, shade etc at parking places.
The collector directed to appoint liaison officers for Akhadas, Khalsas and Mahamandaleshwars again like they were appointed for Akhadas before Shahi Snan. liaisoning officers will fulfill requirements of saints and seers and arrange their meetings with administration.
Directives have been given to form joint teams of Woman and Child Development, Education and Cooperatives departments, police and magistrate to seize polythene used by businessmen and stray cattle in Freeganj zone and ensure necessary action.
Besides, Scouts and Guides, cadets of NSS and NCC and staff of Women & Child Development Department would also assist in seizure of polythene.
