A film based on the untold dreams of women ‘lipstick Wale Sapne’ featuring Konkona Sen as the lead character is being shot on the streets of Bhopal.
Being produced under the banner of Prakash Jha Productions the shooting of the film began here from Monday. The film is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, who is well known for her films like Turning 30.
She has also been a co-producer in the films like Gaangajal, Chakrvyuh and Rajneeti. Alankrita usually work on women based topics and this movie is also women centred. Notably, Konkona along with the whole cast and crew landed in the city of lakes on Sunday. Interestingly, lipstick Wale Sapne is first movie to be shot in Bhopal produced by Prakash Jha and being directed by Alankrita Shrivastava. Earlier, Prakash Jha has shot back-to-back four movies in Bhopal under his direction.
On the first day of the shoot, the crew shot at Regalia Heights that featured Konkona Sen. As back to back shootings of the movies are being held in the city it is a happy tide for the aspiring youngsters who want to make a career in Bollywood. This has given an opportunity to the aspirants to showcase their talent on screen. Notably, proper auditions were organised for the city artists in the first week of October and the selected artists will be seen playing character artists and junior artists as well.
As many as eight aspirants of the city will be seen as junior artists in the movie.
