KK Sharma, Director (Operations) and PK Mohapatra, Regional Executive Director (Western Region) NTPC the other day visited BHEl, Bhopal’s Transformer Block, New Transformer Block and UHV lab, taking stock of the products under manufacturing in the blocks. Thereafter the officials called on AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal and held discussion with the senior officials of Transformer Block.
Yugandhar in his address threw light on the steps undertaken in the last few years which brought in significant improvement in the quality of the products and said that BHEl, Bhopal is wholeheartedly committed towards achieving customer satisfaction. He further said that many Transformers manufactured by Bhopal unit has been in operation for the last 50 years and is running successfully, which is for any organization of the world, a matter of pride. Yugandhar also briefed the gathering about the world class facilities available in the New Transformer Block. Sharma appreciated various improvement steps taken by the unit. He also applauded the efforts of the unit in maintaining the world class quality of the Transformers.
Meanwhile, under the aegis of ISO-50001, Information Management System AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director administered the “Energy Pledge” to all general managers and senior officials. On this occasion TG Chouragade, General Manager (WE&CS, MOD) was present as the management representative. later, B Mondal, AGM, Energy Excellence Centre informed the gathering of various energy saving projects carried out in the unit. Yugandhar appreciating the initiatives undertaken by the unit towards energy saving.
