The State Government in an abrupt move on Tuesday removed Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief Sanjeev Shami. The SIT has been investigating the high-profile honey- trap case.
For the past few days, Cyber Cell DG Purushottam Sharma had locked hons with DGP VK Singh over the investigation process.
This had angered Chief Minister Kamal Nath and he had summoned the DGP on Monday.
The new SIT would be headed by Rajendra Kumar and it would have to members Milind Kanaskar and Indore SSP Ruchivardhan Mishra.
Besides, a dozen senior IPS officers have been reshuffled. SW Naqwi has been posted as ADG Intelligence.
