A 60-year-old woman who had sustained burn injuries at her house in Jyotiba Phule Nagar late in the night on Saturday died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital in the morning on Sunday.
The deceased had got injured at her house while cooking. According to the police, the deceased Lalita Bai sustained burn injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital and later referred to Hamidia hospital where she died on Monday.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased sustained burn injuries while cooking which would be investigated. Police said that in her dying statements the deceased stated that she sustained burn injuries while cooking and was brought to the hospital She died in the early morning hours while undergoing treatment. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her house in Chankyapuri under Chunabhatti police station area on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Rashmi Sawlani was found hanging with the ceiling and was declared dead when taken to a nearby hospital. The husband of the deceased told the police that she used to remain in depression but husband failed to ascertain the reason.
