A 17-year-old girl was captivated and sexually assaulted at Godharmau under Gandhi Nagar police station area; a case was registered on Saturday.
According to the police the minor victim was sexually assaulted after she was captivated on November 9, 2016 and was held captive at a house near Godharmau.
The victim was lured of marriage and later held her captive at a rented house in Barela village where she was sexually assaulted.
In her complaint the victim stated that she was acquainted with the accused Manoj Rajput for the past two years and gradually developed friendship with the accused which soon turned into relationship and the accused lured her of marriage and accompanied him on November 9, 2016.
The victim managed to escape on January 23 reached her house and reported the incident to her mother.
Police said that the victim used to work as domestic help. The details of the accused would be searched as the victim was not able to provide the details which could help in nabbing the accused.
The accused sexually assaulted the victim and threatened her of life which was reported by the victim to the police.
After the victim lodged a complaint accused went absconding and is still at large.
The police have registered a case under section 376, 376(2), 452,363, 506 and 367 of the IPC and section 5 and 6 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences and have started further investigation.
