To observe the 149th birth anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi a seminar ‘Celebrating Kastur-Ba’ will be organised at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday. The seminar will focus on the personality and life span of Kasturba Gandhi.
The programme is being organised by Madhya Pradesh Sarvodaya Mandal while recollecting various aspects of disciplined personality and her contribution in the nation’s freedom struggle. The programme ‘Celebrating Kastur-Ba’ will highlight the social role of Kasturba Gandhi and her identity as an independent woman during the public participation fr freedom struggle.
On the occasion Additional Police Director General Anuradha Shankar Singh, Director of Sarvoday Mandal Santosh Kumar Diwedi will be present as special guests.
The presence of more and more people is an opportunity to make the remembrance of ‘Ba’ exemplary in the right sense. The programme will begin with a prayer in the respect to Kasturba.
Further in the programme will be followed with a discussion on various aspects of life of Kasturba Gandhi, her identity as an exemplary woman. It will be followed with a drama prepared by young artists of the Happy Happiness Society — “A Journey to Kasturba’s Home.”

On this occasion a website of Integration Women Forum will be formally launched. Besides, young children on this subject will be given an opportunity to paint their thoughts through colours during a painting competition with a theme ‘An Independent Woman’.
