After successful conduction of fearless and fair State Assembly elections-2013 all arrangements for maintaining law and order during the counting process scheduled on December 8 in the State have been completed.
The security forces have been deployed across the State on the eve of counting. EVM’s were guarded by security forces which shouldered the responsibility of maintaining law and order during the State Assembly elections -2013.
Around 10,200 personnel of security forces including 30 companies along with district police and staff deployed at different training centres. Apart from this deployment Tear gas party and Equestrian team have been deployed to strengthen the security arrangements. Following the instructions of the Election Commission of India around 27 companies of paramilitary forces which were earlier allocated to guard strong room having the EVMs were deployed after the voting was completed.
