Second phase of e-auction of sand mines was held by Madhya Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation on May 14. In all, 70 groups were put up for auction while 87 bidders took part in auction of 58 groups. Bids for 34 groups were sanctioned while auction of 11 groups is on. Against reserved price of Rs73.36 crore for these groups, Rs131.76 crore revenue has been received, which is Rs58 crore more. Maximum bid of Rs14.53 crore was made for Handiya-2 and Handiya-3 groups of Harda district. This was followed by Rs11.80 crore bid for Babai-1 group of Hoshangabad district while Vijayraghavgarh-1 group of Katni stood third with Rs6.76 crore bid. Third phase of e-auction will be held on May 21 and fourth phase on May 28, 29 and 30.
