SDM Mhow Sandeep GR himself walked down in the main markets of the Mhow with the team of IIM Indore professors, Tehsildar Mhow Bajrang Bahadur, TI Mhow Pramod Sahu and traffic police. He was surprised to see that many shopkeepers have covered the main road in front of their shop and displayed the goods for sale. Many shopkeepers have parked their vehicle and their employees’ vehicle in front of their shop. SDM walked in Main streets Sanghi street, Bhayagi Marg, Gokulganj for more than 3 hours and discussed the problems and solutions of the traffic jam with the shopkeepers. At many shops he himself got the encroachment of the shopkeeper removed from the main roads. The IIM professors also took photographs of the main congested market which they will study in details and chalk out the plan of traffic system of Mhow. It is to be noted that many business outlets are running in the residential houses and not a single shopkeeper or showroom owners have got a personal parking which should be in the building itself. All the shopkeepers are using the main road for the parking. There is no public parking in Mhow.
SDM Sandeep GR told that Mhow market and town is on cantonment land and we will try to arrange the public parking for four wheelers and two wheelers in the out skirts of the market by asking the cantonment board to provide the space for parking. The police will see that there is no encroachment on the main roads of Mhow market. A fine will be imposed on the encroachers. 4-wheelers will be banned in Mhow market during peak hours.
