Annoyed over father’s scolding, a Class XII girl committed suicide by hanging at her Vidisha road residence, under Berasia police station area on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Saloni Vishwakarma, was found hanging and was declared dead when taken to hospital where she was declared dead. The body was sent for the post-mortem.
During the investigation police found that on Monday father of deceased Dilip Vishwakarma found her talking on mobile phone and asked her where did she get the mobile phone from. She answered that she had bought the phone, but the family claims that it never gave her any money to buy the phone, following which she was scolded by her father. Angered over her father, the girl committed suicide.
Police have not found any suicide note and the reason which was revealed by the parents was scolding by father over mobile phone which would be investigated. Police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC.
