Students of the city would enhance their science skills through various educational events that would be organised at Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, in the current month. Notably, this month not only the students of colleges and schools, but common people would be a part of these events.

As centre always organises each event keeping in mind the importance of science, the events organised in the month of December would be organised with the same view point that includes exhibitions, lectures and workshops.

To begin with, a grand exhibition of science models would be on display at the gallery of Science Centre. The exhibition would begin on December 16 and would continue till December 17. Notably, the two-day exhibition would display the science models from various schools of the city. This exhibition is exclusively organised for the school students so that they could showcase the science models prepared by them to the general public as well.

While talking to The Pioneer, education officer MM Rout said, “Usually, various schools organize the model making exhibitions at their premises individually. So, the other students are unable to have a look at the different ideas behind the science models made by the school students. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to organise a Science Model Exhibition at Regional Science Centre Bhopal.” Elaborating further, he said, “With this endeavour many students would get an opportunity to learn a lot and get acquainted with the ideas of other students as well.”

Informing further, he said that few schools have already registered for the exhibition. The schools also find this as a good concept that would bring the unique science models altogether displayed under one roof, he added.

In the series of these programmes, a science drama festival would also be organised on December 20 at the Regional Science Centre. Rout while informing about the drama festival said, “Drama is the best way to explain any emotion and so is the science. Through this fest the students would not 6 only explore their talent to face the stage but would also spread awareness about science and the developments in the society.”

He said, “We are looking forward for more enthusiastic participation by the students of the city in each programme.”
