Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has said that development works should be done keeping in view the facilities of the residents of Bhopal. He said that if any situation of encroachment is found in development works, then encroachment should be removed by taking immediate action.
Under the chairmanship of Minister Sarang, a high-level meeting was held in the Mantralaya on various development works. DRM Bhopal Division Saurabh Bandopadhyay, Collector Avinash Lavania, Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary, Chief Engineer Bridge Sanjay Khande along with officers of Revenue, Railway and Public Works Department were present.
Minister Sarang informed that a two-lane ROB bridge will be built from Chhola Mandir to platform number one of the railway station. This will facilitate the movement of people. For this, discussions were held for land allocation for ROB at Nishatpura near Coach Factory.
Minister Sarang directed that the design and drawing of the ROB approved by the railway should be made available at Barkhedi railway gate number-250 near Aishbagh Stadium at the earliest. He asked to give priority to the work and complete it on time. The work to be done by the railways should also be done simultaneously.
Minister Sarang said that AC rest-room having all facilities should be made for porters towards Bhopal railway station platform number-1. This rest-room will be built on railway land, where the porters will be able to rest for some time.
Minister Sarang discussed the construction of new ROB/flyover, PWD bridge to be sent to Centre Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). It was informed that a four-lane fly over bridge is proposed at Karond intersection. Bridge construction is proposed starting from in front of ISBT towards Rachna Nagar, from airport to Ayodhya Nagar and from Ashoka Garden to the end of Bharat Talkies Bridge. With the construction of these bridges, the residents of Bhopal region will get convenience in the movement.
Minister Sarang said that necessary action should be taken regarding removal of encroachment obstructing the construction of ROB at Barkhedi railway gate near Aishbagh Stadium and removal of encroachment of Moti Nagar in the third lane to be constructed on Subhash Nagar ROB.
Minister Sarang discussed about freeing railway land from encroachment in Narela assembly constituency. Along with this, he gave instructions to free the encroached land in the area. Minister Sarang said that officers of Revenue Department, Municipal Corporation staff and Railways should jointly take action to free the encroached land. In relation to new illegal colonies, he said that action should be taken before they are built. He asked to propose land freed from encroachment for housing for all and police housing.
Sarang directed to ensure action to remove unauthorised occupation on Godown built under Bharat Talkies ROB. He instructed to make a plan for ensuring traffic movement for a period of 2 months needed for repair work of Bharat Talkies ROB. Sarang also directed to free the houses from unauthorised people by conducting a joint survey in the gas relief colony. Along with this, instructions were given to get the dilapidated houses of Aishbagh vacated.
