During this Diwali, on the directives of the Central Government, the shopkeepers have stopped selling firecrackers that are made in China. For past few days, the sale was on, but later, the administration took stern action against the sale of China products.
Notably, the China products had been quite cheaper, while those fire crackers made in Sivakashi are costlier. Since, China products were not reliable; such an action was taken by the administration.
Moreover, factually, the Made in China items had overshadowed the Indian made items. But as these Chinese versions of fire crackers have no assurance of being of a good quality so, the buyers were also cautious towards it. The market was also flooded with new crackers that are charming the kids.
Firecrackers are traditionally perceived as being the highlight of Diwali celebrations. Simple sparklers have now given way to elaborate fireworks that can light up the entire sky above your home. Most people believe that greater the fireworks, better the celebrations. However, very few people stop to think just how harmful these crackers are for the environment.
A home maker Sakshi said, “My kids always remain excited for Diwali as far as fire crackers are concerned. But this Diwali we have bought few fire crackers as most of the shops were selling China made crackers about whose reliability were not known properly. My children are satisfied with our decisions as we have got them all new fire crackers which excite them even more,” she added contently.
On the other hand, a shopkeeper says, “This year fire crackers had a satisfactory sale unlike previous years as people this time became more cautious towards buying the crackers as they may prove to be hazardous.”
The fire cracker market remained a bit cold this year, probably, due to the cost of the products that has gone up remarkably this year.
