The administration has removed the protesting Janpad Panchayat employees who were protesting at Ambedkar Park in Bhopal regarding their demands. After being removed from Ambedkar Park, the employees reached the bungalow of former CM Digvijay Singh on Shyamala Hills in Bhopal.

Digvijay Singh came to meet the members after getting the information about the tents being set up outside the house and said that Panchayati Raj institutions will be empowered as soon as the Congress government is formed. The rights which have been taken away in the BJP government will also be given back.

Digvijay Singh told the district members sitting on dharna, 'The way the police treated you is shameful. The police left the women in the park. The children kept crying, what could be more inhuman than this? Action should be taken against the officers who did this act. You take a pledge that we have to defeat the BJP and form the Congress government. Only Congress can give you the right.

Digvijay asked the members to end the strike and return to their villages. He promised that their demands will be included in the manifesto of the Congress. Panchayat representatives will be given all rights as soon as the Congress government is formed.

He said that the BJP government is cheating the people violating people’s rights. “We will never let Panchayati Raj end. We will fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and Rajiv. You will be given all the rights within 6 months as soon as the Congress government is formed” said Digvijay Singh.
