After a couple of years of taking charge as mutawalli, Saba Sultan is set to announce restructuring of Auqaf-e-Shahi (royal waqf properties) Board on Sunday. Saba, elder daughter of Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, took over charge as mutawalli (head) of Auqaf-e-Shahi after her father’s demise in 2011.
According to sources, Auqaf-e-Shahi meetings were held in Bhopal on Saturday, ahead of Saba’s arrival.
The powers of secretary Auqaf-e-Shahi are further to be curtailed.
The secretary, Anwar Mohammed Khan took care of day-to-day affairs of the
properties which are worth crores of rupees.
He has borne the brunt of protests, when Saba was from the city for two year.
