Ruckus was created by relatives of a 40-year-old man who died due to negligence of doctors at Hamidia on Tuesday, alleged the family members of the deceased.The deceased had attempted suicide by jumping from Bhadbhada Bridge and later died waiting for treatment.
Depressed over financial condition the deceased Anees Miyan jumped from the Bhadbhada Bridge but was rescued and was rushed to Hamidia hospital where he died after he was administered an injection after waiting for around 2 hours for treatment claimed the protesting relatives of the deceased.
The deceased used to work as driver but his financial condition was not good enough to support the family and used to remain depressed over the financial woes. The conditions lead to fights with the family members.
Family members have alleged that the deceased was bleeding profusely but the doctors were not ready to attend him and provide treatment and later he died after 15-20 minutes after he was administered an injection. The injection was wrong one as before the injection his condition was good and later the doctors told that the deceased died and handed over the body to the family members.
The deceased attempted suicide at 2 pm and after he was rescued he was rushed to Hamidia hospital where he was not provided treatment till 4.30 pm and frustrated with the negligent behavior the family members created ruckus after which the doctors administered an injection and after which he died within few minutes.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC has started further investigation.
