STF has nabbed four accused including a wanted accused carrying a reward of Rs 5000; accused were involved in stealing batteries from BSNL and Airtel towers and vehicles. Police have recovered 40 Batteries, one jeep and four mobile phones from their possession.
The gang was nabbed under a special drive conducted in which special strategy has been chalked out by Superintendent of Police, STF, Rajesh Singh Bhadoria under the direction of ADG STF Ashok Awasthi to solve complaints received from mobile companies in Bhopal and surrounding districts regarding incidents of theft of batteries. .
After acting tip off STF Bhopal nabbed four miscreants carrying stolen batteries in Mahindra jeep. The STF team seized the jeep near Eye Hospital at Categorised market and it was checked mobile batteries were recovered from this jeep. The accused revealed that they have stolen these batteries from the BSNL mobile tower at Ashta and were on their way to sell it to Imran of Categorised market.
Later in the investigation that they had stolen 40 batteries of BSNL Company from Ashta in Sehore district. Apart from this, two dozen batteries have also been stolen from the mobile tower of Airtel Company from Bhopal.
The arrested accused were identified as Ambedkar Jathav of Morena, Rizwan Qureshi village Sagar, Saifu Qureshi New Categorised Market and Rajendra Ahirwar resident of Sagar. During the investigation it was found that Rizwan Qureshi is wanted accused and was carrying a reward Rs 5000. He is a habitual offender.
