Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state general secretary Vishnu Dutt Sharma said that right for health in any independent country is the birth right of every citizen and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP Government of the Centre has made every person proud by providing the right to health to over 1.25 billion people of the country.
Sharma in a statement here on Sunday said, “After seven decades of independence PM Modi led BJP government of the centre has made every citizen of the country proud by providing them the right to health.”
Sharma further said that for providing every citizen right to health provisions of increasing 2.5 per cent of GDP in the budget the PM has cautioned the medical health services that if the patient does not get satisfied with the treatment provided to him than he would have all the rights to take the issue to health tribunal. Such tribunals are in the making that would be sensitive towards the happiness and sorrows of the patients, he added.
He said that PM Modi by fulfilling his election promise of providing right to health has once again proved that there is similarity in saying and doing of BJP. In the conditions when the health services are derailing in the country and over 85 per cent posts of specials doctors are vacant in the states and there is shortage of 75 per cent doctors besides absence of lab technicians and nurses here was urgent need financial nutrition for the health services to bring them back on tracks.
The PM to fulfill this requirement made provisions of increasing the health budget from 1.04 of GDP to 2.5 per cent. In totality to ensure right to health to the people of country arrangements of providing minimum one bed over population of 1000, he added.
