On one hand when the Government is leaving no stone unturned for the safety security and welfare of people, it seems that Indore administration is least bothered about the safety of people.
The latest case is of the Newyork city colonizer coming up with the 7-storey building adjacent to the Rau-Dewas six lane. The colonizer has joined the plots and constructed the 7 storey high-rise building just 10 feet away from the underground storage of 40,000 liters of petrol and diesel tank.
According to the fire safety experts there should be no construction till 100 meters from the storage of petrol and diesel tanks. In summer the risk of fire break out frequently increases, also if somebody throws anything from the balcony and window of the multistory it will fall on the petrol diesel storage tank.
A colony is a residential public place and during the celebration of festival a fire cracker can land on this storage and can cause a big explosion thus dismantling the complete high rise multistory buildings in seconds and ruining it into debris and ash thus risking the life of hundreds of people living in the flats of the buildings. locals alleged that the builder will sell all the flats and the innocent purchasers have to pay the price.
The purchasers who are aware of this petrol diesel tank are not purchasing the flats. locals alleged that the administration should look into the matter immediately.
The Pioneer has brought this issue in the notice of Indore collector P Narhari for which he told that he will look into the matter.
