A 14-year old girl was admitted to the district hospital after it was discovered that she is eight-month pregnant due to sexual assault by two brothers.
The incident was reported at Karera village in Shivpuri district. The victim has been admitted at Kamla Raja Hospital of JAH. Since, it is too late for abortion, the doctors are preparing for the delivery.
The victim is learnt to have told her mother that she did not want to become mother at this time. Both of her parents were present in the hospital on Thursday, concerned about their daughter.
Girl’s father told media persons that the incident took place when the girl was returning home from school. She is a student of class six. She felt pain in her stomach and an elderly woman examined her at home, she came to know aobut the pregnancy.
When the girl was asked, she told that she was raped by her neighbourers Bunty and Gajendra, who are real brothers. They also intimidated her. He said that with the help of Sarpanch they admitted the girl in Shivpuri hospital. The doctors said that she is eight month pregnant and registered a case in Karera police station. She was admitted in Kamla Raja hospital on October 7.
An advocate Sudha Chand Sharma said that the accused would have to pay for bringing up the child. Her father said that he would complain to the Home Minister. The accused are intimidating her.
The SP Shivpuri Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi said that police have registered a case of rape against
two accused on receiving the complaint. One of them has been arrested.
