Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ramlal called upon the party workers to take full ‘advantage’ of the people’s angst against the Congress and the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre.
The organisational general secretary stated this while addressing a joint meeting of the party’s State office bearers, district presidents, organisational secretaries and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), here on Sunday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP state chief and MP Narendra Singh Tomar also addressed the meet. Ramlal said, “BJYM works as a bridge between the BJP and the youth and plays an important role in the ensuing Assembly elections of the State. The youth would vote in large numbers in the elections and it is the responsibility of the BJYM to bring them new voters to the party folds.”
Ramlal further said that the party would hold conventions for new voters in the next seven days in all the Assembly constituencies and advised the cadres to be ensured that the conventions be effective and result oriented. For this Assembly wise coordinators were equipped with the latest voters’ lists, they should identify the new voters at city, village and polling booth and prepare their mindset for expending support to the BJP, he added.
He said there was angst against the Central Government in the country and all they need to do was to convert this angst for immersing the Congress from the country. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “The respect of the country has been hurt due to the inactive Union Government. Country’s borders have become insecure. Neighbouring countries like China and Pakistan are continuously challenging us by often crossing borders and the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister are terming these incidences as routine. “
Chouhan claimed that, “Madhya Pradesh would emerge as IT hub, textile power and technology centre of the country,” He said that the programs and policies of the BJP were attracting people and perturbed with it the Congress party was doing dirty politics and at the place of facing them on the ground it was attacking the BJP leaders through central agencies. Narendra Singh Tomar said, “The graph of the party has reached to its peak with the launching of the Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Chief Minister.” He said that a Maha Kumbh of the party workers would be held in the State capital Bhopal on September 25, district presidents of the party would enhance the work plan for that through this convention.
