To generate additional revenue West Central Railway (WCR) would implement the idea scheme New Innovative Non Fare Revenue Ideas Scheme (NINFRIS).
Under this non-fare scheme circulating area of Jabalpur station has been used commercially and developed as Rail Coach Restaurant for with the aim to increase revenue.
The new developed restaurant was visited and inspected by WCR General ManagerSudhir Kumar Gupta and Principal Chief Commercial Manager Mukul Saran Mathur. It is worth mentioning that the latest blue colored rail coach restaurant in the circulating area is quite attractive. With synthetic grass and natural greenery and using beautiful lighting the look has been made more attractive and developed beautifully. Rail Coach Restaurant is a new experience for railway users and people.
The attractive dining area inside this Rail Coach restaurant can accommodate 50 people. Clean kitchen with all modern amenities is available at the fast food counter. CCTV cameras have been installed in the kitchen and restaurant.
Chinese food at the fast food counter and thali systems in the kitchen are also available.
The old coach has been refurbished and converted into a rail coach restaurant. This coach is the property of the railway
will remain as the contract has been given for a period of 5 years for Rs 13 lakh to the railways due to this additional non-fare revenue will be received every year. Providing 24X7 food service which is attracting a lot of tourists.
