Reacting strongly to his criticism by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hit out at the Congress saying that Rahul was ill-informed and needed to do his homework better.
In his tweet, Chouhan said, "The Congress VP says BJP's politics is of air conditioning and royal ways. How ill-informed one can beIJ" He also said, "When the Congress says 'they' sent Rs 3,000 crore to Bundelkhand, isn't it strange that they believe tax payers' money is their ownIJ"
The BJP leader further tweeted, "When Congress VP says that Indore is deprived of development and businesses, he needs to do his homework better." Chouhan added, "We created roads, people don't need roads. We pamper industries, industries are leaving MP! I can't make any sense. Can youIJ"
Rahul addressed two rallies in MP on Thursday, Rahatgarh in Sagar district and in Indore and continued his tirade against the BJP Government saying that the ruling party was far removed from the concerns of the poor. “The BJP’s politics is the politics of air-conditioners and industrialists,” Gandhi said. He said this while addressing a rally in the backward Bundelkhand region. The Congress VP also reminded the crowd of the central package worth thousands of crores of rupees for the region in 2008 and promised that more would be provided if there was a need to make Bundelkhand a prosperous region.
