Accusing Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for misleading people, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president Narendra Singh Tomar alleged that Rahul Gandhi is patting his back for implementing Aadhaar card, but with this decision lakhs of people would be deprived of subsidy benefits.
The per cent of literacy is quite low in the country and the banking network is also inadequate; in such a situation, people are unable to get their Aadhaar cards prepared and linked with their bank accounts. However, the lPG companies have started depositing subsidy of the lPG cylinders in the bank accounts. It is yet to be found what benefits the Aadhaar card is going to give to the citizens, he added.
Tomar alleged that by showing sympathy towards the common people, he cannot lessen their pains. The Central Government has also abolished subsidy on fertilisers. One sack of fertilizer that earlier cost only Rs 500, is sold for Rs 1,225 at present. He stated that around two decades ago, the Congress brought 73rd and 74th amendment in the Constitution for decentralisation of power towards introducing Panchayati Raj, but the Panchayati Raj system is paralysed in the Congress ruled Governments.
“In BJP ruled states, the growth rate has increased remarkably and if the growth rate of BJP is kept aside, the growth rate of the country would remain only 3 to 4 per cent,” he said, adding that Rahul is boasting of the rights the Congress has given but a common man is still suffering of poverty and Congress is speechless on the issue.
Tomar asked as why Rahul is mum over rising prices and corruption. People are eager to teach Congress a lesson in the upcoming lok Sabha elections. By not declaring Rahul as the PM candidate Congress already has accepted its defeat in the coming elections, he claimed.
