The youngsters of the city have come up with a unique idea to spend their Sundays. The members of Rahaat Organisation spend their Sunday with the inmates of old age homes and Aarushi.
Under the similar series, the members of Rahaat Organisation, an NGO is organising its Orientation Programme of the first session of 2018. The orientation programme will be held at lNCT seminar hall on August 7. Students of lNCT campus and the students of other colleges will be participating.
Ashok Kumar Rai, OSD and Dean Administration lNCT, Shriman Anuj Garg, Amitbodha Upadhyay (OSD lNCTS), Amit Shrivastav and College Faculties will be present during the programme. Besides, certificates will be given to the Volunteers and Coordinators of the previous session.
It is to be noted that Rahaat is a youth group formed by the students of lNCT College. To begin with the activities, they started spending their time with the inmates of old age homes like Ekjut, Aasra and more. They also started to pay regular visits at Aarushi and took them on visits.
The main objective of spending their Sundays with these people at places like Regional Science Center, Tribal Museum, Picnic, Van Vihar was to bring smile on their faces. “listening to the life stories and experiences of grandparents of the Old Age Homes has always been a great opportunity to learn and improve our personality for all the members of the Raahat family,” said one of the founders Sakshi Kwatra.
She further informed that the idea struck them in year 2009 and since then they are working in the same direction i.e. to bring smiles on people’s face. “We organize different activities for children, which is a lot of fun,” said Sakshi. To continue the process an orientation programme will be organised.
