Staff Reporter

Harassed by the college management, a 25-year old youth, working as an accountant in a private college, attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills at Ayodhya Nagar on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, the victim Narendra Sharma consumed sleeping pills and was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is reportedly stable. Victim works as an accountant with Bonne Foi College at Ayodhya Nagar.

SHO of Ayodhya Nagar police Ashish Pawar said that the victim consumed sleeping pills in the morning and when he reported the incident to his colleague he was rushed to a nearby hospital. Investigation has been started into the matter.

The investigation is on and after the investigation, a case would be registered. The matter is suspicious as the victim has claimed in his suicide note that he was involved in misappropriation of funds last year and the allegations of same nature were raised by the management this time which suggests that the college management or the victim are on the wrong side as only one person is harassed by the management and it is possible that the victim might be involved in irregularities, he added.

Pawar said that the college management has communicated and the police are waiting for their response which would help in the investigation. The condition of the victim is stable.

Police have recovered a 6 page suicide note addressing victim’s wife and has asked his wife to pardon him. In the suicide note victim claimed that the Principal of the College Sunita Bisaria,  JK Ayyer and lalita Ayyer college management has harassed him.

The victim consumed sleeping pills and when his condition started to deteriorate he told his colleague at the college and was rushed to Red Cross hospital.
