Jail Superintendent Alka Sonkar said that Sunita Solanki, a resident of Nagjhiri on Dewas Road, had been in jail since September last year in a fraud case.  She complained of chest pain at around 10 pm on Thursday night.  Blood pressure was not normal when the doctor checked up at the jail hospital.  Therefore, she was sent to the district hospital in the night with female sentinel Premlata Katara and male sentinel Vishnulal.

The jail superintendent said that Sunita went to the toilet four to five times during the treatment at the district hospital.  She was later shifted to the women's ward for observation overnight during which she escaped by removing toilet window.  When Sunita did not return for long, the lady sentinel Premlata went to check and found her missing, the two searched but failed and later informed the jail superintendent. The jail superintendent said that in search of Sunita, the police team raided her house in Nagjhiri.  Raids have been conducted at several places in her search.
