During the period from December 12 to 18 in the rural areas in every rural police station, the people of three big villages would interact with the police station in-charge directly.

The villagers would be provided with information

of police functioning and structure of different departments of the police which would help in the understanding the functioning and specific roles under which the police work and at the same police officials would learn about the problems faced by the villagers from the police side.

In his instructions, the DGP has clearly stated that at the time of interaction concerned officials and personnel of beat should remain present. The Superintendent of Police and the Additional Superintendent of Police should also remain present at the interaction in at least one of the villages. The members of the Gram Raksha Samiti should be included during the interaction.
