Bagh Sewania police have nabbed a 20-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl for three months after marrying her at a temple.
The victim in her complaint stated that she met the accused Sagar Raikawar when she used to live in Shivaji Nagar and became friends with the accused. later, they developed relationship.
The accused asked her of marriage and around three months ago they married at Bhojpur temple without informing the family members and accused took the victim to her relative’s house at Hoshangabad where they stayed for around a week and developed physical relationship after which they returned to their homes and never reported the incident to their parents.
The accused continued to make physical relationship with the victim for the past three months. The victim gradually realized the accused had married only to have physical relationship and was cheating on her and the marriage would never be accepted.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation police have registered case of abduction and sexual assault against the accused and nabbed him. The details of the accused would be investigated.
The victim left studies after class 11 and used to live in Bagh Sewania where she was assaulted.
The victim came in contact with the accused when she used to live in Shivaji Nagar.
Police said that it would be investigated whether the accused has been involved in other crimes activities also and have targeted other minor girls in the past. It is suspected that the accused used to harass other victim girls, which is part of investigation.
