The police arrested five armed miscreants who were planning a dacoity in the house of a senior BJP leader and former chairman of MP Seeds Corporation Mahendra Singh Yadav. The police recovered a revolver, two swords and two knives from the miscreants after a short encounter. In-charge SP of Gwalior Virendra Jain said that an informer had tipped off last night that some armed miscreants had gathered near Gurukripa College to commit dacoity in the house of senior BJP leader of Mohanpur and former chairman of seed corporation Mahendra Yadav. Acting on the tip off, SHO of Morar Ratnesh Tomar cordoned off the area.
During the search operation, the police had a brief encounter with the miscreants. The police arrested five miscreants from the spot with their arms and registered a case against them under Anti Dacoity Act and Arms Act. They are being interrogated to find out their involvement in the robbery that was reported with a gold smith in front of Unipetch factory in Gola Ka Mandir area.
The arrested persons included Ravi Yadav, Arvind Rana, Sunil Balmik, Pappi Shah and Shekhar Jatav. The TI Morar Ratnesh Tomar said that five armed miscreants who were planning a dacoity in the house of a BJP leader have been arrested the arms and other materials have been recovered from them. Cases have been registered against miscreants under various sections.
In another incident, the police arrested one of the two miscreants, who had looted a mobile phone and a laptop from a student near Manshapurna Hanuman Mandir. The name of the arrested miscreants is Manoj. The police are searching for the other miscreant. According to the police, two miscreants had looted Vikash Kushawah of Panchsheel Nagar behind Mela road last night when he was returning from Mansha Poorna Mata temple.
On receipt of information the police surrounded the area and nabbed Manoj from Gende wali road with looted goods. He was interrogated and a police party was sent to search his associate who participated in the loot. According to initial information Vikash is engaged in part time job in Bank of India in city center. He is also a student of BSc. The police are further interrogating to find out his involvement in other crimes.
