In view of the upcoming assembly elections and festivals, a total of 767 accused including 488 permanent warrants and 279 arrest warrants were arrested in the 11th combing patrol conducted by 1000 men of Bhopal Police to control crimes and arrest absconding reward carrying accused.

A total of 5479 permanent and arrest warrant arrests have been made in 11 combing patrols. In view of the upcoming assembly elections and festivals, patrolling was done for 7 hours by about 1000 police officers and employees in all four zones of the city on Saturday. A total of 767 permanent and arrest warrant arrests were executed and 24 bailable warrants were executed.
Patrolling by 1000 policemen started at around 10:00 pm and continued till around 5 am in the morning. In just 7 hours of patrolling, a total of 767 warrants including 488 permanent warrants and 279 arrest warrants were served.
A total of 241 warrants, including 167 permanent, 74 arrest warrants, were served in Zone 1 area, out of which a total of 61 warrants, including 41 permanent warrants and 20 arrest warrants, were served by Shahpura police station.
In Zone 4 area, action was taken on 187 warrants including 127 permanent and 60 arrest warrants, in which a total of 55 warrants including maximum 48 permanent warrants and 7 arrest warrants were served by Nishatpura police station.
In Zone 3 area, action was taken on 164 warrants including 72 permanent and 92 arrest warrants, in which a total of 40 warrants including maximum 18 permanent warrants and 22 arrest warrants were served by Hanuman Ganj police station.
In Zone 2 area, action was taken on 175 warrants including 122 permanent and 53 arrest warrants, in which a total of 33 warrants including 30 permanent warrants and 3 arrest warrants were served by Govindpura police station.
So far, a total of 5479 permanent/arrest warrants have been served in 11 combing patrols in Bhopal Commissionerate.
