Ashoka Garden police have booked a man for sexually assautling his 7-year-old daughter in the night on Thursday.
The accused committed the incident when the girl was sleeping next to her mother with her three-month-old brother, the mother of the girl opposed which forced the accused to flee after threatening to kill them.
Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections including rape. Police have arrested the accused.
The mother of victim in her complaint stated that she works as domestic help and has a 7 year old daughter and a 3 month old son, due to the dispute with her husband who lives in Sonia Colony while she lives in Azad Nagar Basti. On May 19 around 1 in the night when she was sleeping in the room while her children were sleeping beside her, husband reached home and went to the girl. After a while she screamed, the husband was seen sexually assaulting daughter and opposed on which husband started threatening to keep quiet but victim's mother continued to oppose which forced him to escape.
Accused was booked under POCSO Act and later he was nabbed.
The woman claimed that the husband had ill intentions for daughter which caused controversy in the past as well. The victim works hard and the accused does not give money to his wife for living.
