Ashoka Garden police have booked a husband and woman duo for selling same house to two people and duping victim to the tune of Rs 9 lakh at Sundar Nagar.
According to the police, Mueen Khan of Ashoka Garden entered an agreement with the accused Madhavi Singh and her husband Hari Singh for selling house owned by her at Sundar Nagar.
A complaint was filed regarding the fraud and after completion of the investigation the police have registered a case under section 419, 420 of the IPC. The police have started further investigation.
In the complaint victim stated that around one and a half year ago at Sunder Nagar a house owned by Madhavi Singh was on sell and the house was offered at Rs 14 lakh and after the deal was done victim Rs 9 lakh was paid by the victim while agreed to pay remaining at the time of the transfer of ownership but after few months victim found that a family occupied the house and started to live at the house and when victim asked he was told that Madhavi Singh and her husband have sold the house to them.
After victim received information victim lodged complaint with the Ashoka Garden police. The accused are yet to be arrested in the case, said police. The details of couple would be investigated and their involvement in other frauds related to property would be investigated.
