To provide security to the women during travelling, the administration and police will introduce ‘Pink Special’ vehicle for women. The driver of the ‘Pink Special’ would be women and passengers would also be just women. As many as 10 Pink Special vehicles would start running in the city from Tuesday. In order to provide fearless travelling to women, 10 Pink Special vehicles would run in the first phase. More vehicles would be introduced later, if needed. The pink special vehicle would be 5-seater buses and the women drivers would wear pink kurta and white salwar. The pink special would be equipped with the GPS and walky-talky system.
