The Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) is poised to host the highly anticipated 'Indore International Film Festival' from March 14, spanning three days of cinematic splendor. This prestigious event will showcase a curated selection of acclaimed films hailing from India, the UK, Australia, Indonesia, and beyond, promising a captivating cultural exchange on the silver screen. Distinguished luminaries from the realms of film, television, and theater are set to grace this cinematic extravaganza, adding to its allure and prestige.

A highlight of the festival will be the felicitation of local artists from Indore, whose remarkable contributions to the film and television industry have not only brought laurels to the city but also elevated the stature of Madhya Pradesh on the national stage. This edition marks a significant milestone as the Prestige Institute of Management and Research rebrands its annual event, formerly known as the Prestige International Film Festival, to the 'Indore International Film Festival,' underscoring Indore's emergence as a bastion of arts, culture, and cinema in central India.

Dr. S. Raman Iyer, Director of PIMR's UG campus, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The Department of Mass Communication at PIMR has been at the forefront of organizing the Prestige International Film Festival for six successful years. With the transition to the Indore International Film Festival, we aim to spotlight Indore's vibrant cultural tapestry and its pivotal role in shaping the cinematic landscape of Madhya Pradesh."

A curtain-raiser event held at the PIMR UG campus offered a glimpse into the festivities, with students presenting captivating cultural performances in the presence of esteemed guests, faculty members, and a vibrant student community.

Dr. Davis Jain, Chancellor of Prestige University and Chairman of the Prestige Education Foundation, emphasized the festival's commitment to promoting the local art and culture of the Malwa region. "The Indore International Film Festival serves as a platform to celebrate the rich heritage of Indore and Madhya Pradesh while recognizing the outstanding talents that have left an indelible mark on the global stage," remarked Dr. Jain. He attributed the festival's vision to the guiding influence of Padmashree Dr. Nemnath Jain, whose legacy continues to inspire a cinematic renaissance in Indore and beyond.

Indore's cultural legacy, as Dr. Jain highlighted, is steeped in illustrious figures such as Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Salman Khan, Swanand Kirkere, Johnny Walker, MF Hussain, and Salim Khan, who have brought glory to the city and state through their exemplary contributions to music, art, literature, and cinema.
