A city bus conductor was stabbed by a pickpocket in Karond area after the bus conductor spotted him stealing money from a woman passenger's purse.
The woman saw the young man stealing and alerted the conductor. When the conductor went to catch him, he stabbed her and fled from the moving bus.
The incident took place in a city bus number MP04PA3283 running on route number-306. The bus was passing near Karond intersection during which a pickpocket sitting next to a woman passenger in the bus tried to steal money from the purse, when the woman passenger caught him and alerted conductor . The conductor immediately ran to catch the pickpocket, but the pickpocket stabbed him in the leg and ran away.
Deepak is a conductor in the city bus running between Lalghati and AIIMS. After being stabbed in the leg, he has been admitted to Sudeepi Hospital in Lalghati. Police are also investigating the matter.
The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the bus. In two videos of 1.23 minutes, the pickpocket is seen stealing from the purse and stabbing the conductor.
