In a bizarre incident a pet dog was hanged to death by three persons in Balaji Nagar Neelbad after dog bit one of the accused; Ratibad police have registered a case against the three on Tuesday.
Unusual scenes were witnessed at Balaji Nagar after the accused Ram Kumar and his two friends hanged a pet dog to death after dog had bitten Ran Kumar in the afternoon.
The victim Sunny Pendre lodged a complaint with the Ratibad police after Ram Kumar and his two friends killed his pet dog in the afternoon. In his complaint victim stated at in the afternoon his dog had bitten Ram Kumar who left the spot only to arrive with two of his friends and forcefully took his dog and tied his neck with rope and hanged him to death and when he opposed the accused threatened him of life and escaped the spot. Police have registered a case under section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal) and 506 of the IPC.
The incident took place late on Monday afternoon when RamKumar has gone to bring some goods in the area where he was bitten by the dog. Details of the accused is under investigation. The crime record of the three would be checked.
During the investigation police have not found any old dispute between the victim and the accused. The act was done in fit of rage, said police. The victim is a student and claimed that the accused are locals he failed to rescue his pet dog.
