Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan has said that the people of the State have punished the Congress that was spreading misleading information, by defeating it.
Chouhan while addressing election meeting for lanji Municipal Council in Balaghat district on Tuesday said, “The people of State have made BJP victorious on eight of the ten civic bodies that went to poll last days while the Congress has been reduced to just one because the people of State have come to know that the Congress does not have any interest in development.”
Chouhan further said development and good Governance have become identity of BJP in the State and the country. “Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by providing interest free crop loan to farmers, ten per cent rebate on loan for seeds and fertilisers has taken a unique initiative in the agriculture based country and spilled happiness in the courtyard of farmers of the State,” he added.
He said that the public and farmer’s interest policies of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led BJP Government of the State are so much impressive that other States are also following them. The Chief Minister for empowerment of women made them partners in the civic bodies’ administration by providing them fifty percent reservation in the local bodies. Besides, by providing fifty per cent reservation in teaching jobs and thirty three percent reservation to the fairer-sex boosted their confidence, he added.
He said that the women power would make BJP victorious in the elections for the lanji municipality and called on the electorate of the area to press the symbol of lotus on August 20 to make BJP’s chairman candidate Yugesh Ramtekkar and Corporator candidates victorious for comprehensive development of the region.
Senior minister of the State cabinet Gourishankar Bisen, BJP district president Uday Nagpure, MlA Yogendra Nirmal and others were also present on the occasion.
