Staff Reporter

The trends shown by the electorate in the recent past indicates that they are fed up of the coalitions and are interested for making single party Government besides getting rid of the opportunism, said BJP state president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Sunday.

Chouhan said, “The electorate by providing mandate to a single party in four states last year before the general elections applied full stop on the coalition governments in order to make the governments accountable.”

Chouhan further said that the brilliance of electorate has also made the political parties free from the compulsions of coalition partner’s pressures and also shown the real place to the opportunist political entities. The trend of electing single party government initiated by four states was followed by the electorate of the country that provided thumping majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the general elections, he added.

He said that the coalition government during the past two decades has hit the people in Maharashtra because corruption has increased many fold besides problems of the people have also increased multifold. This has irritated the common man and the electorate is in mood to uproot the Congress-NCP alliance government and to elect the BJP Government, he added.

He said that though the people of Maharashtra would witness multi cornered contest in the assembly elections after over two decades but one thing is for sure that it would be the BJP that would compete with all the political parties and the outcome would be in its favour. The BJP would form government on its own in Maharashtra, he added.

He said that the people of the country has earlier shown faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi in these circumstances it is sure that despite there would be many political parties in the Maharashtra assembly election but the Modi magic would work and BJP would form the government, he added.
