Mayor Alok Sharma with BMC commissioner Tejasvi S Nayak, members of Mayor in Council (MIC) and Corporators raided parking lot opposite to old Assembly house known as Minto Hall and MP Nagar and confiscated over 100 vehicles parked illegally after 10 pm in these parking lots. Mayor Sharma with his team raided at the parking areas situated before Minto Hall and Panjiyan Bhawan. 45 new and 11 old vehicles were parked in front of the Minto Hall. Similarly, 17 vehicles were parked before Panjiyan Bhawan. The BMC confiscated these cars and jeeps. The mayor asked the police for registering case against the vehicle owners of these vehicles under the motor vehicles registration act.
Following, the team reached at parking near Hotel Surendra Villas at MP Nagar Zone-1 and acted on 27 illegally parked vehicles. The parkings of Minto Hall and MP Nagar were sealed and handed over to the police. Besides, the mayor directed the officials to beautify the road between Gurudev Gupt square and Jyoti talkies square.
