Paperless working begins in law department

Staff Reporter
Paperless working and automation of official process has begun in the law Department. To begin with, one section of the department has become entirely paperless.Principal Secretary law Virendar Singh informed that the department has developed and implemented an application for managing the file movement between sections and officers, which has reduced the manual entry in registers for each movement of file within the department. Each file is registered in the system and its movement is traced with this application. It has eased the workload of the dealing assistants.
Besides, there is also a feature providing templates for creating various note-sheets and orders. Once the entries for file names and dates are created, note-sheets and orders can be generated using predefined templates. Using this application, the department has computerised its Civil Section and is in the process of automating other sections as well. The department has stopped accepting applications for Cl and Ol on paper. Receiving, processing and sanctioning is done online.
