The State Government has constituted a working committee having participation of various departments to chalk out a joint working plan with UNICEF and various departments for development of women and children, ensure its smooth implementation and review programmes. The committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary/ Development Commissioner will comprise Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary School Education, Additional Chief Secretary Planning, Principal Secretary/Secretary labour, Principal Secretary Tribal Welfare, Joint Commissioner Institutional Finance and UNICEF’s Madhya Pradesh Head. Principal Secretary/Secretary Women and Child Development will be committee’s Member-Secretary.
The working committee will meet from time to time. It will review implementation and progress of the State Government and UNICEF’s joint programmes for development of women and children, challenges and related issues. This review will also be necessary for making required changes in the joint working plan. Meetings will be convened by UNICEF through coordination with Chairperson and Member Secretary.
