When a person paints on the canvas, he gains interest in expressing his ideology and emotions. Besides, the person tries to put an impression over the other person of the kind of life he leads," says an eminent artist of the city Raj Saini.
A painting workshop would be organised for the school students to enjoy their summer vacations and enhance their painting skills. The workshop would be organised from May 10 and would be conducted by Raj Saini at Jawahar Bal Bhavan.
For the past 22 years, Saini is spreading the magic of his paint brush in the city of lakes. Raj Saini is an expert in making the items from waste materials but painting is his forte. Besides, Saini is working as a trainer in art, modern art and craft at Jawahar Bal Bhavan. He further informed The Pioneer that a special exhibition on 'Save Water Save life' would be conducted on May 15. As many as 175 students have already registered for the exhibition as participants. Painting is a technique to erase all the worries of life. According to Raj Saini, Painting is a way to express one's emotions through the use of various vibrant colours. Saini along with his assistant Manisha Methal would train the students in semi abstract and modern art for the exhibition.
Around 30 posters on Save Water Save life would be displayed at the exhibition. On asking about choosing 'water' as a topic for the exhibition, Saini said, "Every now and then we listen that administration promises to provide water supply 24/7, but people are hardly facilitated with this provision. So, this year we thought to raise this issue as it one of the basic necessities for an individual."
All the paintings would be made in modern art form. While sharing about modern art Raj said that modern art is something which a person creates on his own. The person tries to relocate the inner world in him and paint it on the canvas. Raj said in the workshop children would learn various varieties of paintings. Sketching, Water painting, Oil painting, painting on Velvet cloth, Thermacol cutting and painting, Plain painting, Canvas painting, Modern Art painting, Knife Painting and Glass painting would be the major attraction of the workshop.
