Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta handed over keys of houses along with possession letters, flower pots with rose plants and packets of sweets to 25 beneficiaries at Siddheshwari Nagar in ward 46 here on Friday.
The houses have been constructed by Bhopal Development Authority under JNNURM.
Gupta said that state government has resolved to provide pucca house to every slum dweller. He said that houses will not be given to brokers in any case.
Gupta said that Madhya Pradesh will be prosperous only when everyone gets house, food and employment.
He said that community hall and sports ground should be develop at vacant place on the premises of Siddheshwari Nagar. Gupta lauded efforts of Naveen Mehra who played an important role in construction of these houses.
EO of Bhopal Development Authority Neeraj Vashishth informed that the Authority has constructed 740 houses under JNNURM including 88 at Siddheshwari Nagar and 64 in Durga Nagar.
Each house comprises one hall, one bedroom, kitchen, toilet and balcony. Arrangements of water line, sewer line, septic tank, sumpwell and electricity have been made on the premises.
He informed that possession of houses is being handed over to those who have deposited margin money.
Prem Bahadur, Ramlal Gupta, Savita Verma, lalita Bai, Haripal Mehra, Narmada Prasad Mehra, Sushila Bai Sawde, Rajesh Harode, Satyaprakash Bhadoria, Rajendra Kumar Mehra, Sushil Kumar Gupta, Shanti Batham, Santosh Dheemar, Vikas Gupta, Padmini Verma, Ghanshyam Belwase, Jaiprakash Mehra, Rajesh Uikay, Naveen Prakash Mehra, Rajendra Uikay, Virendra Mehra, Bhagwanti Mangnani, Mohan Prasad, Jagdish Kumar Mishra and Naresh Dodani were handed over keys of houses following Pooja. local public representatives and people were also present.
