Mayor-in-Council (MiC) member in-charge for Transport and Traffic Kewal Mishra on Sunday instructed the authorities concerned to make arrangements for departure of buses at Kushabhau Thakre Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) from the place fixed for them.
Buses plying from the ISBT will only start from the fixed places and serious action will be taken against buses seen starting outside, Mishra told the Bhopal Municpal Corporation officials convened in presence of Additional Commissioner MP Singh. He also directed to maintain cleanliness in the terminus and block the entry of outside vehicles.
As directed by Mayor Alok Sharma, Mishra here on Sunday passed on the directives to Municipal Corporation, Police and BCll officials after holding meeting with them. To maintain the starting point of the buses Mishra asked the Govindpura police to regularly check and instructed the BMC to cooperate with police.
In the meeting it was also decided that all the chambers and surrounding in the terminus to be kept clean, drinking water facility to be provided and regular cleaning of sewage line and its repair was decided. It was also decided to fix dustbins in place and boom barriers to prevent entry of other vehicles like bike or car that may block the traffic inside the terminus.
The seats in the bus terminus will also be increased for the convenience of the passengers. license of the shopkeepers in and around terminus will be verified. The area inside will be tarred and the front will be developed as pick and drop area. Roads will be widened and for safety fencing will be done around the terminus.
