Commenting on the criminal case involving his son and BJP MLA Akash, BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya here on Monday said that opponents are being treated as enemies in Kamal Nath government.
To the queries of the media on his son’s incident, Vijayvargiya claimed the state government deliberately took his son to a court which could not grant him bail. “Administration remains well aware that a particular court can’t grant bail to an MLA, so what was the point in taking Akash to that court,” questioned Vijayvargiya.
He pointed out that Madhya Pradesh always witnessed an atmosphere of political harmony whether it was the rule of Arjun Singh, Motilal Vora or Sundarlal Patwa, he said.
But under Chief Minister Kamal Nath, political opponents are being treated as enemies and are booked by the police even on small complaints, alleged the BJP general secretary.
The senior leader went on to claim that in a similar incident, sons of union minister Prahlad Patel and his brother Jalam Singh Patel were booked by police recently despite the fact they were out of town when a fight took place.
Meanwhile, the police had booked Prabal Patel and Monu Patel for assaulting two youths and firing shots in Narsinghpur recently.
The senior BJP leader claimed that removal of the house in Indore was a small issue but both Akash and Indore municipal commissioner showed immaturity and called them kachcha khiladi. “The matter could have settled easily,” he said asking bureaucracy to shun their ego and respond to calls from public representatives on public issues.
