Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president and MP Arun Yadav, taking a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate in a statement here on Thursday, said that the life of a politician, who serves the nation with honesty and talks about principles, should be like an open book, and the one who keeps secrets from his people is no one but a deceiver.

Yadav, also a former union minister, further said, “Modi is leading a two-faced life and anyhow a politician cannot keep a difference between his professional and personal life as people want to know each and every detail of his.”

This was proved right when Modi declared that he is married. Yadav alleged that Modi till now kept one of the biggest truth hidden which was unveiled when he filed the election papers on Wednesday

He regretted that BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had lied about his marital status earlier but acceded to it in the recent election undertaking.

He said no one should lie about one's marriage but he was happy Modi had

ultimately agreed that he had a wife.

“A Wife is a big asset in ones personal life and why should Modi lie about itIJ. We are happy for Modi that he was married. But he should have said it during filing his election details earlier in his long political career,” he said.

Yadav was referring to Modi agreeing that he was married once to one Yoshoda Ben but separated three years later when he filed his nomination papers in Vadodara.

“Why should Modi lie when it comes to his marital status, which is only a plus point in a man's life. Why should he have lied with the people with his social life,”  Yadav asked.
